Dr Sue Bruce

Susan (Sue) Bruce was born in Scotland but her family decided to leave the north wind and haggis behind and move to Australia when Susan was just a wee bairn. Her childhood was spend reading, drawing, catching bugs that crawled in the garden and rescuing stray kittens so when it came time to choose a career, Veterinary Science seemed a logical choice. Susan graduated from the University of Queensland in 1985 and started working in small animal practice in South Australia shortly afterwards.
Over the years Susan has worked in many interesting areas of veterinary science. She has been a government vet with AQIS and Environment ACT, a veterinary science writer and a TAFE instructor but the small animal clinic has always been her natural habitat. Susan currently lives in Grange, SA, with her husband Marc, two ancient Tenterfield terriers (Hero and Maggie), and a fat cat called Amber. When she’s not at the vet clinic Susan writes fiction and paints animal portraits.

Dr Roy Christie

Roy graduated from the University of Glasgow, Scotland in 1974 before moving to Australia the same year.  His career started in mixed animals on the Eyre Peninsula. From there he progressed to owning and running his own three Small Animal Practices in Adelaide. After thirty-six years Roy has downsized and now concentrates his energies on Henley Beach Veterinary Clinic.
Roy's interests include family and friends, golfing, travelling, cooking and wine making.
